Theophile “Theo” Doupnik, 62, of 910 M Avenue N.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, October 1, 2007, in University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa, following a short illness. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two cousins, Leslie D. Yukl and Russell Hach.
Theo was preceded in death by his parents; and long time companion, Sharon Franks.
Theo was born Ocotober 8, 1944, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Theophile and Albina Konicek. Theo attended Iowa State for 2 years and served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He worked for Harnischfeger and FMC in engineer work.
