Vickie “Susan” Fruendt, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 6, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Guests are encouraged to wear Iowa Hawkeye attire in honor of Susan. A livestream of the memorial service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Susan, under “videos,” starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Following the service, the family will host a Celebration of Life from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 1820 W Post Road SW, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.

Susan was born August 6, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Joyce (Morava) Warren. She graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 1966. On January 14, 1994, Susan married Jerry Allen Fruendt. She worked in media advertising sales for The Gazette for many years, most recently with the Penny Saver, before retiring in 2009.

Susan was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club, both in Cedar Rapids. She was also the founder and past president of the Cedar Rapids branch of the Jimmy Buffett Parrothead Isle of Iowa. Susan enjoyed visiting casinos, traveling, and had a special love for dogs.

Survivors include her travel partner, Mike Langridge of Cedar Rapids; and cousins, John Kadlec of Cedar Rapids, Brenda Reeve of Denver, Colorado, and Lori Wilfong of Marion, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; and her parents.
