Vohn R. Teed, 61, of 368 16th St. SE, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Cedar Rapids; three children, Jeffery Teed, Lisa Teed (Joey Ralls), and Tamyre Rounds, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Randy Green, Brandon James, Brittany Teed, James Green III, all of Cedar Rapids, and Chelsea (John) Duwe of West Union; and a great-grandson, David Duwe of West Union.
Also surviving are two sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Carolan of Toddville and Hilda Gilson of Aurora, Iowa; and three brothers, Merle (Betty) Teed of Palo, Burdette (Francis) Teed of Lawton, Oklahoma and Roger Teed of Chandler, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Vohn was born October 26, 1944, the son of Elmer and Henrietta (Priest) Teed in Edgewood. On September 28, 1962, he married Sandra Meyer in Lafayette. He was a working supervisor for eighteen years at Options in Linn County training handicapped adults with job skills. Vohn enjoyed Nascar Racing, bowling in a league at May City, riding bicycles, walking, and rollerskating.
