Willadene R. Schminkey, 86, a resident of the Abbe Center, Marion, formerly of Coggon, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003, of heart and lung complications. Graveside Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2003, at Spring Grove Cemetery, rural Coggon.
Arrangements are with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Albin of Cedar Rapids; a son, Irving (Kathy) Martin of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Jacqueline Sloan; eight brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson, Miles Trout.
Willadene was born January 21, 1917, the daughter of Thaddeus and Mrytle Wheeler Miller, in North English, Iowa. She married Vernon Schminkey. He died December 14, 1998. Willadene was a homemaker. A special thank you to all the nieces and nephews that helped her through the years.
