Bill worked for CR Glass with the Union. Outside of work, he was happiest doing the things he loved and spending time with the people who mattered most to him. He loved softball and golf and especially enjoyed coaching. One of the things he enjoyed most was coaching the girls’ youth Marion Wolves softball team and sharing his love of the game with young players. He also had a deep love for music and treasured the time he spent with his friends.

Bill will be remembered for his love of sports and music, his friendships, and most of all, the love and devotion he had for his children and family.

He is survived by his children, Jayden Yirkovsky and Klara Stalkfleet; granddaughter, Ava Kane; girlfriend, Jen Bell; mother, Susan Hofer; stepmother, Deb Stalkfleet; siblings, Casey Wells (Jason), Pat Stalkfleet (Jacqueline), Josh Peek (Dawn), Cory Hall (Shawn), and Jesse Throgmartin; and good friends, Karee Kremer and Casey Yirkovsky; along with many extended family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth “Bear” Stalkfleet; cousins, Spencer Steepleton and Ryan Danly; grandparents, Ben and Betty Hofer; and grandmother, Sally Dunde.

Bill leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of his children, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for the loving care they provided to Bill.
