William "Bill? C. Hentrich, 87, of Manchester, formerly of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Tuesday evening, April 18, 2006 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, after a short illness.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 21, 2006, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Manchester, with Rev. Msgr. Ralph Simington officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements by the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville.
Bill was born July 11, 1918 in Paris Township near Dickeyville, Wisconsin, the son of Valentine & Elizabeth (Specker) Hentrich. On June 5, 1942, Bill married Genevive Auerkamp. The couple later divorced. Bill moved to Iowa in 1965 where he worked as a farm hand in the Manchester and Greeley areas. Bill moved to the senior apartments in Manchester in 2005.
Bill enjoyed playing checkers and teaching tricks to his dog, Spottey, a faithful companion of 17 years.
Bill is survived by a son, Larry Hentrich of Galena, Illinois; his grandchildren, grat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many caring friends that helped him over the years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Val & Elizabeth Hentrich; his wife, Genevive; two sons, Terry Hentrich and William Hentrich; three sisters, Christine Hentrich, Mary Brandt, Margaret Kulas; and two brothers, Jack Hentrich and Val Hentrich.
