William J. “Will” Roling, Jr., 47, of Manchester, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. Visitation: 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018, St. John Catholic Church, Delhi, Iowa, with a 3:00 p.m. Scripture Service and additional visitation one hour prior to Mass on Saturday. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at St. John Catholic Church, Delhi. Burial: St. John Cemetery, Delhi. William was born August 7, 1971, in Manchester, the son of William and Mae Louise (Wuchter) Roling. Will was a graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School. On May 22, 1999, Will married Amy Short. Two children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. Will was part of Roling Sanitation, and previously with Randy’s Sanitation and Allied Waste. Will enjoyed playing pool, cards, golfing, hunting, and cooking. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children.
Will is survived by his children, Chloe and Preston Roling of Delhi; siblings, Chris Roling of Delaware, Joe (Susie) Roling of Hopkinton, Ron (Chris) Roling of Springfield, Missouri, Ruth (Joe) Heffernan of Manchester, Grace (Arlyn) Maifeld of Manchester, Frank (Robin) Roling of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Ray (Brenda) Roling of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.
Will was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rose Ella “Rosie” Roling; sister-in-law, Carolyn Roling, and brother-in-law, Jim Bockenstedt.
