Wilma Johnson

Wilma Johnson, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Eulogy on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids at a later date.

Wilma was born on November 24, 1930, in Lincoln Township, Guernsey, Iowa the daughter of Bert and Florence (Timm) Ranfeld. She graduated from Guernsey High School. Wilma married John Vogel on March 4, 1950, John later passed away. She was united in marriage to Virgil Johnson on September 10, 1971, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Wilson Credit Union as a Vice President and Office Manager. Wilma enjoyed cross-stitch, crocheting, playing cards, and paint by number on her iPad. Above everything, she loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne Vice of Fairfax, Iowa, Michael (Marsha) Vogel of Fairfax, Iowa, Rosemary (Jim) Glubka of Cedar Rapids, and Mary Kay (Chuck) Oehler of Cedar Rapids; sister, LaVera Hennessey of Johnston, Iowa; sister-in-law, Janet Ranfeld of Deep River, Iowa; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and special friend, Daryl Goodlow of Guernsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses; brother, Robert Ranfeld; brother-in-law, Dave Hennessey; and son-in-law, Michael Vice.
