Zarita Kay Eastridge

Zarita Kay Eastridge, 83, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with burial to follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Zarita was born on October 25, 1939, in Buchanan County, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Lois (Williamson) Zeller. On January 23, 1960, Zarita was united in marriage to Gerald Dean Eastridge in Cedar Rapids. Zarita worked as an assembler at Rockwell Collins and as a waitress at Bishops in Cedar Rapids, until her retirement in 1995. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing. Zarita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Zarita is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Douglas Eastridge of Littleton, Iowa, Deborah Bolyard of Marion, and Denise (John) Quaid of Gulfport, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Sarah (Shannon) Rottman, Austin Bolyard, and Lindsey, Michael, and Christi Quaid; five great grandchildren, Lorali, Leanna, Lyra, Lydia, and Cyrus; and sister Patricia (Wayne) Beuter of Walker, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Gerald; and two brothers, Keith and Carl Zeller.
