Colleen Kay Levins

Colleen Kay Levins, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away March 5, 2022, at her home. A Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022, in The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Colleen was born September 6, 1937, in Lohrville, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Ellen (Lorraine) Ealy. After she graduated from high school Colleen earned her cosmetology certificate at the beauty school in Mitchellville, Iowa. She was a self-employed beautician and devoted housewife. Colleen was a proud cancer survivor. She enjoyed going to the casinos and cooking for family and friends. Survivors include husband, Russ Levins of Cedar Rapids; children, Kris Martin, Wayne Van Meter, Tim Van Meter, Shelly Rohwedder, Kelly Van Meter, and Tabby Barnes; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and siblings, Merlene, Susie, Julie, Joy, Ted, and Marty. She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and her beloved dog companions, Pandy, Maggie and Oscar.
